When Reggae-Soul Singer/Songwriter, Mario Evon, first emerged on the scene as M.E., he was rocking a full, curly afro, which some say was reminiscent of Smokey Robinson. Others likened it to a young Bob Marley, but his head was full, plentiful, healthy and round.
After years of the fro he got tired and felt the need to switch it up, with the sides and back faded and the top high and curly. Some would call this one the Fido Dido, especially as it continued to grow out.
Like a true Libra, with change being imperative to him, he grew back the fro for the album launch and once again went back to the sides and back faded. This was then followed by the high top fade in 2016.
It was an easy conversion back to a curly top after the high top fade, which then led to a few one off experiments such as this bad bwoy look below:
October 2018 brought a more conservative and clean look, as birthdays have now become a time of change for Mario. Let’s call this one less hair on the top with fades and a line.
And if you thought he was finished, clearly there was some blonde ambition that had to be expressed, which led him to this look, which many either loved or hated, but fortunately most people loved. This his most edgy look to date. Well you be the judge.
In summary, it’s really hard to put a finger on what M.E will be up to next where his image is concerned, but we would recommend not looking away for too long, but it’s clear that being true to himself is at the core of his being, and supports his mantra for being unapologetically you.
